We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven Inventory and Receiving Manager to lead all receiving, inventory control, and warehouse accuracy functions in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all inbound shipments are received accurately and on time, inventory is maintained with a high level of accuracy, and warehouse processes support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of warehouse inventory management, and a proven ability to build accountability within a team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on work experience.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in inventory control, supply chain, or warehouse logistics, ideally in a fast-paced consumer goods or manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, receiving, or warehouse management, preferably in e-commerce, consumer packaged goods, or high-volume distribution.
  • Proven track record of maintaining inventory accuracy above 99%.
  • Strong understanding of receiving procedures, cycle counting, lot and expiration tracking, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Deposco, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams while holding employees accountable to performance and accuracy standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
  • Knowledge of FIFO, lot control, expiration date management, and warehouse best practices.
  • Commitment to safety, process discipline, and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with regulated environments such as food, supplements, or consumer packaged goods is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all receiving and inventory control operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of inbound shipments.
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and packaging condition for all incoming inventory.
  • Ensure all receipts are entered accurately into the warehouse management system and match physical inventory.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including overages, shortages, damaged goods, and location errors.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures for receiving, putaway, inventory control, and replenishment.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, receiving productivity, dock-to-stock time, and discrepancy rates.
  • Lead, coach, and develop receiving and inventory team members to meet performance, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Warehouse Operations to ensure inventory integrity and timely issue resolution.
  • Manage lot-controlled and expiration-dated inventory using FIFO and FEFO methodologies.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure all inbound products meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Oversee inventory adjustments and ensure all transactions are properly documented and approved.
  • Support physical inventories and year-end audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and strengthen process controls.
  • Ensure all receiving and inventory activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of receiving and inventory areas to support safe and efficient operations.
