About The Position

As an Inventory Operations Analyst, you'll play a critical role in improving inventory performance across multiple distribution centers while helping maintain our culture of customer service excellence. We're looking for someone with strong inventory management experience who can analyze data, standardize processes, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and overall operational performance. Requirements

  • Strong inventory management and analytical skills with experience supporting multi-site warehouse or distribution operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex inventory data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Experience developing standardized procedures and driving operational consistency.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Purchasing, Finance, IT, and Operations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and creating efficient, accurate inventory processes.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of inventory management experience within warehouse or distribution environments.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems and business intelligence reporting tools.
  • Experience developing standardized inventory processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead inventory performance initiatives across multiple distribution centers.
  • Develop and maintain inventory scorecards, KPIs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Analyze ABC classifications, dead stock, inventory usage, and SKU optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with Purchasing and Sales to improve demand planning and inventory strategies.
  • Plan and execute warehouse optimization projects, including slotting, racking, and capacity improvements.
  • Manage dead stock reduction programs through vendor returns, liquidation, and recovery initiatives.
  • Improve inventory accuracy through cycle count programs, variance analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Develop and maintain processes for order mistake reporting, resolution, and prevention.
  • Manage Shipped-Not-Received Transfer (SNRT) reporting, reconciliation, and aging.
  • Coach and develop branch inventory leaders on SOPs, inventory systems, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations to improve inventory policies and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Porter Pipe safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
