About The Position

Lead Our Inventory Operations as an Inventory Manager at Nirvana Cannabis! At Nirvana Cannabis, we're a family owned and operated company that takes pride in building leaders, celebrating individuality, and setting the standard for excellence in cannabis retail. We're looking for a motivated Inventory Manager to take charge of our dispensary's inventory operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless coordination between teams. Position Summary The Inventory Manager provides overall direction and leadership for all inventory operations within the dispensary. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate product management, maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, and setting clear performance expectations for the inventory team. Acting as the key link between inventory staff, store leadership, and other departments, the Inventory Manager drives process improvements, implements best practices, and ensures that merchandising and inventory control standards consistently support sales and operational goals. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership, and the ability to guide a team through fast-paced retail operations while fostering a culture of accountability and professionalism.

  • Thorough knowledge of inventory control procedures, product handling, and regulatory compliance standards, with the ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Business Management preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of cannabis retail inventory experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience (Supervisor-level title or higher) overseeing large teams (10+ employees) in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with responsibility for driving sales and KPI performance.
  • Minimum six (6) years of customer service experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of personnel supervision experience, including performance management, coaching conversations, documentation, and employee development.
  • Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of operational supervision experience, including support with supply ordering, inventory control, cash handling, and related operational functions.
  • Must meet all state requirements for cannabis industry employment (including background checks and valid agent card where applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all inventory operations-including receiving, storage, internal transfers, and product movement-ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily work assignments for inventory staff; delegate tasks effectively and support team members throughout each shift.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, monitor time clock records for accuracy, and report any necessary edits to management.
  • Conduct regular audits and maintain detailed inventory records to ensure compliance with internal audit SOPs and applicable regulations.
  • Lead merchandising initiatives by maintaining high standards for sales floor displays and product presentation.
  • Enforce fair and consistent disciplinary standards in alignment with company policies; provide coaching and feedback to team members to encourage growth and accountability.
  • Ensure shift leads and supervisors remain current on operational procedures and consistently train their teams to established standards.
  • Provide clear and timely communication to inventory staff, store leadership, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate product information.
  • Partner with purchasing, wholesale, and vendor contacts to coordinate product deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive professional relationships.
  • Demonstrate visible, hands-on leadership by modeling professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic.
  • Trains and mentors inventory staff in company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Creates and manages the daily lunch and break schedule and ensures it is followed.
  • Delegates duties to inventory staff and provides support throughout the shift.
  • Monitors and guides shift leads to ensure they remain consistent and up to date in their training responsibilities.
  • Manages the flow of inventory operations during the shift and steps in to cover any position as needed.
