Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in inventory management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Leadership and team management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock quantities.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to order new stock based on forecasted needs.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Use inventory management software to track and record stock movements.
  • Generate detailed inventory reports for management review.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast trends and improve inventory strategies.
  • Organize and oversee stock storage for efficient use of warehouse space.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations in storage and handling.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for accurate inventory handling.
  • Lead and train inventory staff to maintain accurate records and follow company policies.
  • Set performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations.
  • Foster a team-oriented work environment.
  • Identify and address causes of inventory loss, including theft or spoilage.
  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and obsolescence.
  • Work closely with sales, operations, and logistics teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
  • Support product launches and promotional campaigns with adequate stock availability.
