About The Position

The Inventory Manager leads, coaches, and models Nordstrom values for the Inventory Control team. This solution-oriented role focuses on meeting or exceeding customer needs and accomplishing results. The manager leads inventory management practices and standards across the store to achieve unit-level accuracy, oversees Inventory Control functions, and ensures staffing and scheduling support inventory activities during routine operations and key events. The role manages labor expense and team productivity, hires and retains talent, develops employees, communicates business updates and initiatives, fosters an inclusive and engaging work environment, and champions continuous improvement. The position also supports the customer experience across the market in a digital environment by driving inventory accuracy standards.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and drive execution of inventory management best practices and standards throughout the store to achieve unit-level accuracy.
Coach and develop the team to be productive and deliver desired outcomes.
Oversee execution of Inventory Control functions.
Deliver staffing and scheduling needs based on company forecasts and other resources to support inventory control activities during normal operations and key event timeframes.
Manage labor expense and improve individual and collective team productivity.
Hire and retain top talent across roles while building a bench for future roles.
Share business updates and initiatives effectively with the team to streamline communication and change management.
