About The Position

As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving inventory, conducting cycle counts, organizing invoices, products, and back stock. You will also engage in customer service, understand customer needs, promote a customer-centric mindset, assist with stocking and merchandising, and ensure the store is always ready to serve customers.

Requirements

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
Experience in inventory control and receiving.
Experience with counting inventory.
Organization with paperwork, invoices, credits and Purchase Orders.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
TAP or Rserving Certification.
Available to work a varied retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for an extended period.
Comfortable climbing ladders.
Highly self-motivated.
Customer service driven.
Strong sales background.
Proven track record of success.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Must be able to pass a Background Check.
Must have access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year experience in retail environment (preferred, not required).
Minimum of 1-years’ supervisory and/or management experience (preferred).
First-Aid Certificate is considered an asset but not required.
Training in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

Receive inventory and verify accuracy in cost and items.
Complete cycle counts by each deadline.
Create Purchase Orders.
Work with vendors, merchandisers, and drivers.
Stock shelves and cooler with product.
Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
Participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning.
Deliver exemplary customer service.
Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device.
Ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are adhered to.
Perform opening and closing procedures (when applicable).
Complete end-of-day till reports (when applicable).
Ensure the safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable).
Ensure that OHS, LP, TAP/Rserving, and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
Maintain First-Aid, LP, and OHS Training.
Maintain TAP or Rserving certification.
Adhere to all Afognak Native Corporation policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility.
