The Inventory Specialist for Expendable (EX) and Non-Expendable (NX) Assets is responsible for maintaining accountability for all equipment and assets throughout their lifecycle, in accordance with VA policy and federal property management regulations. This role involves managing and controlling assigned classes of EX material, serving as a subject matter expert, and acting as a central point of contact for commodity support and logistics problem resolution. The specialist will analyze data, apply inventory principles, forecast needs, and participate in strategic planning for projects and initiatives. For NX assets, the role includes planning for new and replacement assets, analyzing lifecycle data, participating in strategic planning for construction and facility projects, conducting data analysis for acquisition planning, managing property accountability using automated systems, identifying and resolving asset management issues, ensuring equipment accountability through inspections, managing inventory transactions, creating Reports of Survey for lost or damaged property, and resolving inventory problems.
