About The Position

JSL Technologies, Inc. is seeking qualified Inventory Management Specialists to support warehouse operations at the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC), Cheatham Annex. This is a contingent hire, pending contract award. The incumbent will perform various duties within the logistical chain management system to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness, including receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating, safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, material return, and disposal of materiel and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, performing the following duties: Receiving, Quality control, Inventorying, Storing, Issuing, Packaging, Shipping, Processing returns, Shelf-life management
  • Ability to perform various duties within the logistical chain management system
  • Knowledge of receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating (first in-first out), safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, material return, and disposal of materiel and equipment
  • Knowledge of warehousing methods, procedures, and material handling techniques
  • Knowledge of inventory functions, operations, and program requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to use DMLSS (Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support), HIMS, or other authorized database of record for routine processes
  • Valid U.S. driver's license to drive up to a 1.5-ton stake bed truck
  • Ability to operate 4-6K forklifts for the delivery of medical equipment, supplies, and furniture
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Ability to pass background investigation
  • Must complete required DoD/BUMED IT security training
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply reference materials such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, and orders
  • Ability to read and speak the English language with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format
  • Proficiency in US standard office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems)
  • Strong ethical principles and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Light to moderate physical effort required
  • Walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items
  • Lifting and carrying items over 45 lbs
  • Work is performed on hard surfaces
  • Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
  • Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD Government-granted security clearance.
  • Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory and documentation of supply stock utilizing DMLSS or other military database of record
  • Make adjustments to stock levels as directed
  • Support excess or unserviceable material disposal processes
  • Count types, quantities, and condition of items during annual inventories, location surveys, and physical inventory
  • Analyze, evaluate, and revise command inventory
  • Perform material examining and identifying
  • Perform receiving duties including receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipments
  • Check accompanying documentation against containers or packing labels
  • Follow established procedures in reporting over, short, or damaged items
  • Open containers and remove dunnage and other packing materials
  • Segregate material according to material type (equipment, consumable, narcotic, pilferable item, HAZMAT, etc.)
  • Generate labels and route/move material to staging areas or stow locations
  • Perform re-warehousing of material in accordance with Government stow plans
  • Perform platform stowing of material by assigned EXMED platform
  • Perform sustainment efforts including review, stock, and re-supply medical logistics items
  • Remove and replace all outdated or expired items from shelves or kitted Expeditionary Medicine Systems (EXMEDS)
  • Perform quality control on transaction records and file documents appropriately
  • Research quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS or other military database of record
  • Coordinate affected products/recalls with affected work centers
  • Review documents to ensure proper information has been included
  • Obtain missing information and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies
  • Perform Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C) operations
  • Pack and repack items for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS using standard packing materials, methods, and techniques
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Non-Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE)
  • Perform word processing, data entry, and electronic mail transmission
  • Store, retrieve, and maintain electronic documents/files
  • Enter data into predefined spreadsheets or databases
