About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist for their New Trucks USA division. VVG is a premium commercial truck dealership offering a full-service experience. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, collaborating with vendors, ensuring correct data entry by the sales team, and supporting database management and OEM program compliance. The position also involves identifying operational improvements, providing sales support, adhering to policies, and contributing to marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, expanding organization and be passionate about customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; relevant certifications or further education in inventory management, sales, or operations a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, accounting, sales, or operations is preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting, sales, or operations is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service and telephone communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across internal teams and external vendors.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other relevant software tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely inventory records are maintained to support profitability.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to identify inventory requiring additional photos or updates.
  • Oversee and assist the sales team in entering complete and accurate order data into the internal database.
  • Manage and maintain internal database systems, ensuring they comply with relevant OEM programs and contractual obligations.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement in database functionality, proposing and implementing solutions to optimize workflow and system efficiency.
  • Provide consistent support to the sales team by ensuring adherence to internal policies, manufacturer procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Stay current with updated policies through training and meetings.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials, including product photos, for use both internally and externally.
  • Participate in lead allocation efforts and support the planning, coordination, and execution of company events.
