About The Position

Brown Jug is a premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits, offering a friendly and energetic work environment. We pride ourselves on convenience, selection, and top-notch customer service. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving inventory, conducting cycle counts, managing invoices, product, and back stock. You will also engage in customer service, understand customer needs, promote a customer-centric mindset, assist with stocking and merchandising, and ensure the store is well-stocked and ready for customers. This position specifically supports the Brown Jug Dimond Store (263) located at 2203 W Dimond Blvd Unit 5.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
  • Experience in inventory control and receiving.
  • Experience with counting inventory.
  • Organization with paperwork, invoices, credits and Purchase Orders.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • TAP or Rserving Certification.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong sales background.
  • Proven track record of success.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Must be able to pass a Background Check.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in retail environment (preferred, not required).
  • Minimum of 1-years’ supervisory and/or management experience (preferred).
  • First-Aid Certificate is considered an asset but not required.
  • Training in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Receive inventory and verify accuracy in cost and items.
  • Complete cycle counts by each deadline.
  • Create Purchase Orders.
  • Work with vendors, merchandisers, and drivers.
  • Stock shelves and cooler with product.
  • Participate in merchandising and promotional activities.
  • Participate in routine store maintenance and cleaning.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service.
  • Maintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timeline.
  • Assist customers from the store and/or offer car service when appropriate.
  • Complete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device, including payment.
  • Ensure all cash handling policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are done correctly (when applicable).
  • Complete end-of-day till reports (when applicable).
  • Ensure the safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable).
  • Perform all opening and closing procedures (when applicable).
  • Complete inventory questions through email and correct discrepancies.
  • Ensure that OHS, LP, TAP/Rserving, and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  • Maintain First-Aid, LP, and OHS Training.
  • Maintain TAP or Rserving certification.
  • Adhere to all Afognak Native Corporation policies, with a focus on Social Responsibility.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
