About The Position

Support the client’s end-of-year cycle count by accurately counting and verifying company-issued hardware in cycle counting software to ensure physical inventory matches system records. Review assigned count lists, locate and identify materials, count items by hand, and record quantities and locations in the software. Scan barcodes or serial numbers wherever possible. Recount and document discrepancies, escalating unresolved differences to the inventory lead. Maintain organized count areas, follow safety and security procedures for controlled and sensitive hardware, and provide daily progress updates during the count window.

Requirements

• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Comfort using scanners, handheld devices, and inventory software.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work independently.

• Prior inventory, warehouse, or stockroom experience.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned count lists, locations, and part or asset numbers in the cycle counting software.
• Locate assigned items in storage and verify them against the part number, serial number, or asset tag on the count sheet.
• Count items by hand and enter quantities and locations into the cycle counting software; scan barcodes or serial numbers wherever possible.
• Recount items when physical counts do not match system quantities, document variances, and escalate unresolved differences to the inventory lead.
• Return items to their correct locations, keep count areas tidy, and tag counted areas to prevent items from being counted twice or missed.
• Handle controlled and sensitive hardware according to company security, access, and safety requirements.
• Provide daily updates on completed counts, open discrepancies, and blockers during the count window.
