This role is responsible for developing and maintaining cost-effective maintenance and monitoring programs for inventory to maximize usage and minimize expenses. The position establishes a follow-up program to monitor the effectiveness of supply systems and ensures needs are met. The Inventory Control Coordinator Senior coordinates appropriate inventory levels across multiple sites, serves as the main contact for inventory transfers between facilities, and resolves various procurement issues. This role also reviews and recommends changes to inventory data levels, provides recommendations on inventory levels and consolidation opportunities, and serves as a procurement resource by maintaining product catalogs. Additionally, the role develops and maintains systems to track inventory age, overstocks, and vendor exchanges, collaborates with Corporate Purchasing to review requisitions and place orders, and produces usage and cost reports. The position identifies product standardization and cost-saving opportunities, provides analytical data, and coordinates product conversions. Finally, the Inventory Control Coordinator Senior builds and maintains vendor relationships, verifies and reconciles vendor credits and exchanges, and ensures vendor contracts are loaded correctly into computer systems.
