Inventory Accounting Coordinator

About The Position

The Inventory Costing Coordinator applies accounting knowledge, including GRIR reconciliation, and Accounts Payable knowledge to help resolve invoice issues and guide AP on next steps for processing. The role communicates with warehouses, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve issues and support accurate and efficient invoice processing. It also provides customer service to internal and external contacts and handles other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma.
At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable.
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including persuasion, motivation, and facilitation of strong working relationships.
Knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite applications and/or software applications related to job functions.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge and experience with the SAP Material Management module.

Responsibilities

Provide directions on invoices with discrepancies that are on quantity block or routed to the division for processing instructions, contacting warehouses, TDM, and internal departments so AP can finalize posting.
Prepare information and verify changes to support accurate and efficient processing.
Perform timely account reconciliations, such as the GRIR report, by verifying entries and comparing balances.
Ensure correct approval, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts.
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including personnel from other divisions, vendors, suppliers, and other outside personnel.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
