About The Position

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring efficient inventory management processes. The role supports operations and helps minimize discrepancies by tracking, organizing, and reporting stock levels. The coordinator works primarily on the manufacturing floor with operators and supervisors to identify inventory issues, using inventory management systems and cross-functional communication.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and/or managing inventory transactions.

Nice To Haves

Associate or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
Experience using large ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular counts and reconciliation processes.
Update inventory management systems with real-time data on stock levels, transfers, and adjustments.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
Use exception reporting and targeted count lists to identify specific products requiring investigation and counting.
Weigh and count inventory as required, and check all inventory locations when discrepancies are found.
Review aging inventory for existence and accuracy in TMS Reports.
Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and propose systemic solutions.
Ensure adherence to current cycle count policy.
Spend the majority of time on the manufacturing floor, working closely with operators and supervisors to identify issues.
Assist with audits and cycle counts.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
