This position is responsible for maintaining accurate SAP records of consumables inventory located across multiple regional warehouses and physically managed by a 3rd party logistics partner; and ensuring inventory best practices are being followed by our partner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three years related inventory management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively convey information in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel; inventory and manufacturing software; and order processing systems.
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by position.

  • Prior experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily inventory sync of SAP inventory and 3rd party partner inventory.
  • Reconcile SAP inventory records with 3rd party inventory records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Frequently and routinely review cycle count reports from partner and report variances to supervisor.
  • Analyze lot usage and ensure our partners are following correct FIFO rotation.
  • Conduct annual visits to each regional warehouse to complete on-site sample audit counts.
  • Work closely with 3rd party partner, Procurement, Order Entry, and Shipping/Receiving teams to investigate and resolve inventory issues.
  • Prepare weekly reports on blocked stock for Consumables team review.
  • Attend quarterly business reviews with our partners.
