About The Position

Fastenal is hiring an entry-level, part-time Inventory Control employee at its distribution center in Edwardsville, Kansas. The role helps facilitate the movement of products from the distribution center to company-owned branches and manages inventory by checking shelf products and quantities. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. The listed schedules are Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., for 10–28 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label products.
• Inspect product quality and accuracy.
• Count and audit products.
• Use a scale to weigh products.
• Locate missing inventory.
• Inspect and correct shelf integrity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Comply with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in activities and programs that support company health, safety, and sustainability objectives.
• Learn, pass, and practice environmental health and safety trainings.
