Inventory Control Tech - 3rd Shift
About The Position
The Inventory Control Tech compiles and maintains records of physical and virtual product inventories through daily cycle counting, claims management, and accounts administration at the facility. The role manages data related to ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products, and orders shipping materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain facility inventory. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday: Sundays from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and Mondays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The role may require a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed. The work may take place in cold storage temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C, with company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
Requirements
- Previous Inventory Control Tech experience is required.
- Cycle Counter experience is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds; the required weight may be greater depending on the facility.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Responsibilities
- Keep inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records.
- Compile data from purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports.
- Determine stock supply and replenishment needs.
- Investigate damages, inventory adjustments, and shrink issues.
- Locate products to verify product IDs, conduct regular cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories.
- Verify shipping orders by checking stock numbers, pallet IDs, authorized substitutes, and other information against catalogs, manuals, product lists, and similar references.
- Review files to identify unused items and recommend disposal of excess or damaged products.
- Operate warehouse material-handling equipment to move products while following regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Order shipping materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain facility inventory.
