About The Position

As the Inventory Control Team Lead, you are part of a team that will support a cold storage facility. You will work hand in hand with the Inventory Control & Office Manager who will plan and oversee the daily floor operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Your focus will be on interfacing with the customer via operations email, entering new receivers into the warehouse management system (WMS), coordinating responses for inventory accuracy and processing administrative paperwork for outbound orders and inbound appointments. You must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture. This role is hourly non-exempt.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, high reach, and cherry pickers.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Great work ethic.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to listen and take direction agreeably.
  • Be on time to work and reliable.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be flexible and be able to work overtime.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Certification preferred with the ability to attain one upon hire.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with hiring and training Inventory Control personnel.
  • Oversee the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
  • Collaborates with the inventory manager to provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Oversee the stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
  • Communicate with the warehouse and customers as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Responsible for Customer Order Processing & Billing through the system in conjunction with RealCold billing team.
  • Operate warehouse material handling equipment to count inventory products while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist the Inventory Control & Office Manager when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
