About The Position

The purpose of the Team Lead Inventory Control position is to assist the Inventory Control Supervisor. Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of the returns crew in their process of unloading trucks, putting products in stock and other related work. Supervise inventory control process to ensure product is available and adequate for product resale. Produce and analyze product reports and perform other administrative duties to optimize operational efficiency. Assist Inventory Control Supervisor with duties as needed. Ensure Inventory Control Associates perform assigned duties. Provide feedback to Inventory Control Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of warehouse experience required
  • Microsoft Office experience a must, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Data entry (10-key by touch) skills required
  • Knowledge of warehouse RF system and using an RF scanner
  • Ability to learn and use relevant internal applications
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Professional phone-etiquette skills
  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs
  • Must be able to work in different warehouse temperature zones.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds (e.g., machinery horns)

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year of leadership experience preferred
  • Food service industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of FDA and USDA guidelines
