About The Position

A local manufacturing company in Oriskany, NY is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity offering consistent hours and weekly pay.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of inventory management experience (including cycle counting and root cause analysis)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with ERP systems (Deacom preferred)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to read and understand English
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math skills for inventory calculations and adjustments

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records within Deacom ERP software
• Enter and verify inventory data to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Close production jobs and work orders daily
• Support inventory transfers between locations to ensure production readiness
• Record and reconcile inventory transactions for third-party tolling companies
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and shortages
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits
• Generate reports on inventory levels, turnover, and key metrics
• Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to maintain smooth inventory flow
• Perform additional duties as needed to support business operations
