The Inventory Control Specialist will own inventory accuracy, system integrity, and material control across ERP/WMS. This role serves as the system-of-record authority for inventory, kitting, and consumption, enabling production rate through reliable inventory, kitting readiness, and visual stores management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in inventory control or material management.
  • Hands-on ERP/WMS experience (ION, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with kitting and production support environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ION or similar modern manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with visual management systems and lean material flow.
  • CPIM/CSCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP/WMS systems (ION strongly preferred).
  • Execute and audit inventory transactions (receipts, moves, consumption, adjustments).
  • Monitor inventory data health and resolve systemic issues impacting accuracy.
  • Own kitting processes to support production builds.
  • Ensure kits are complete, accurate, and delivered on time to the line.
  • Track and improve: Kit completeness (%), Kit readiness vs build schedule, Line shortages attributable to kitting.
  • Execute cycle count program and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive sustained improvements in inventory accuracy.
  • Own organization and control of inventory stores locations.
  • Implement and maintain visual stores systems (labeling, zoning, min/max signals).
  • Optimize material flow and accessibility to support production efficiency.
  • Partner with production, supply chain, and planning teams.
  • Support material availability and production readiness discussions.
