We are seeking a skilled and safety conscious Forklift Operator as well as an administrative/clerical warehouse specialist with BOTH WMS and STAND-UP FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE. This role is for Michael Angelo's Warehouse in Austin, TX (North Austin near Round Rock). The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee and keep record of all shipping and receiving; responsible for organizing, sorting, and transferring goods from one location to another. They monitor company packages from start to finish, ensuring proper packing techniques and shipping practices. Systematic transactions & inventory management: daily cycle counts, physicals inventories and record data using written and electronic methods.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of stand-up forklift experience
  • Computer skills and knowledge of software programs (Microsoft Suite – Excel, SAP, etc.)
  • WMS Experience (SAP, JUMP, etc.)
  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED
  • Always Safety Aware!
  • Very good basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division-able to use a calculator.
  • Good reading ability-able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Professional customer service skills for all interactions
  • Administrative experience in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain physicality for prolonged periods of time and work primarily standing.
  • Warehouse administrative experience required.
  • Accuracy is essential!
  • Critical thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Self-motivation - requires minimal supervision
  • Flexibility, able to handle pressure and change

Responsibilities

  • Track the receiving inventory
  • Daily / Weekly reports & end of shift summary
  • Inventory related tasks, counts, verification.
  • Transfers/Receives POs in SAP.
  • Assure proper labeling.
  • Assist in barcoding and placarding pallets coming off the production line.
  • Keep management and supervisors aware of product shortages.
  • Organize stock and merchandise.
  • Provides daily feedback to team members on job performance.
  • Routine checks paperwork to ensure properly filled out and communicates deficiencies to team members.
  • Dealing with product issues and returns, and Lot tracking are essential.
  • Operate controls from equipment; report malfunctions/ potential hazards to supervision
  • Adhere to food safety and People safety polices.
  • Maintain a professional written and verbal communication and attitude
  • Ensures PPE requirements are followed and are being enforced
  • Able to follow GMPs, USDA and HACCP guidelines for food/sanitary guidelines
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with other departments.
  • Must maintain a clean work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as needed/assigned.
