The Inventory Control Manager will lead and manage day-to-day inventory control activities, including cycle counting, inventory accuracy, reconciliation, and investigation and resolution of discrepancies. This role involves analyzing inventory data and warehouse activity to identify trends, root causes, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. The manager will develop and implement inventory optimization and slotting strategies to maximize warehouse space, improve product flow, and support more efficient operations. They will also evaluate inventory across the facility to improve storage, organization, movement, and overall warehouse performance. Establishing, improving, and maintaining inventory control processes, procedures, and SOPs where gaps exist is crucial. This position leads a team of approximately 4-6 employees, providing direction, coaching, and accountability. Collaboration with Operations leadership, including warehouse supervisors and managers, is essential to align inventory strategies with overall operational objectives. The role requires preparing and analyzing inventory reports and KPIs, maintaining inventory accuracy levels according to customer requirements and contractual KPIs, and acting as a key point of contact for customers regarding inventory performance. The manager will investigate inventory discrepancies, develop sustainable corrective actions, identify bottlenecks, and partner with Engineering and other cross-functional teams on warehouse layout, process, and inventory optimization initiatives. Utilization of inventory management systems and reporting tools is expected, along with supporting annual physical inventories, four-wall audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and inventory-handling procedures. Fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence is a key aspect of this role. Other duties as assigned.
