About The Position

Under moderate supervision, this position is responsible for performing one or more of a variety of automated and/or non-automated warehouse duties such as receiving, returns, shipping, picking, packing, checking, and stocking of goods, ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, and continually striving for improved customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for leading one or more job groups, which includes daily productivity functions within the assigned area based on the daily distribution center volume and goals. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Two (2) plus years of work experience.
  • May require use of a radio frequency (RF) device to perform daily tasks.
  • Ability to operate in a production-driven environment and perform at a level that is 95% or greater of engineered standards.
  • Physical activity requiring reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking and hearing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Associate is required to stand, walk (or otherwise be mobile).
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pickers, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Training warehouse associates in duties and responsibilities and all associates in the safe use of equipment according to SOPs.
  • Observing performance to correct behaviors as necessary.
  • Assisting warehouse personnel with the efficient execution of order filling, receiving, stocking and returns.
  • Overseeing shipping and general operations (UPS, emergency orders or general deliveries).
  • Performing as an individual contributor completing advanced tasks and decision making with detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.
  • Providing day-to-day tactical direction and guidance to warehouse associates.
  • Managing daily workloads.
  • Coordinating and recommending efficiencies to workflow.
  • Managing inventory, including monitoring levels.
  • Using forklifts, reach trucks and/or other motorized equipment to move inventory.
  • Assisting in supervision of the department, including assignment of work, manpower needs to cover for associate vacations, and building volume.
  • Participating in associate concerns such as reporting and follow up to supervisor.
  • Utilizing computer system applications for proper operation and reports.
  • Complying with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and state and DEA regulations.
  • Performing related duties as assigned.
