About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records. The Inventory Control Lead will perform essential duties such as recording data, verifying inventory computations against physical counts, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining records of stock, shortages, and shipments. The position also involves inspecting stock for defects, providing assistance to other warehouse team members, and operating forklift trucks for inventory audits. Additionally, the role requires participation in cycle counts, cross-training in space planning, and collaboration with the Quality/Recoup group for quality holds and carton inventory. Reliable attendance and adherence to safety standards are crucial.

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Two (2) to three (3) years related inventory experience preferred.
• Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office to include Outlook, Excel and Word, and some Access.
• Ability to master internal computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Records data manually or using the computer.
• Verifies inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigates discrepancies or adjusts errors.
• Keeps records on the use and/or damage of inventory.
• Examines and inspects stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provides assistance or direction to other warehouse Team Members or managers.
• Ability to drive forklift trucks and other motorized equipment to conduct inventory and bay audits.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments.
• Prepares and participates in cycle counts.
• Cross trains in space planning to help support roles when needed.
• Works with Quality/Recoup group with quality holds and quality hold reworks.
• Works with Quality/Recoup group with carton inventory and ordering.
• Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed by Holman.
