Inventory Control Lead
About The Position
Chadwell Supply is a successful family-owned maintenance supply company with 29 Branches Nationwide. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Chadwell Supply Inventory Coordinator. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for performing daily cycle counts of products, processing customer and vendor returns, and preparing for the annual physical inventory count. The supervisor assists in receiving and ensures that all inbound products from vendors and branches are accurately checked and counted against packing slips and receiving documents for quantity and shipment accuracy. The Inventory Control Supervisor ensures that products are correctly stocked and shelved in the proper bin locations and that product bin locations are updated to optimize storage space. Additionally, the supervisor ensures that the quantity in the computer system is accurate. The supervisor may also be tasked with pulling orders, making deliveries, handling local vendor pick-ups, and investigating product quantity discrepancies to determine their causes and make necessary corrections. The Inventory Control Supervisor also contributes to maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. In addition, this role can assist with employee time keeping all while coaching and developing their employees to be successful at Chadwell Supply.
Requirements
- Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Pass all pre-employment, background check and drug testing.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with vendors, managers, and coworkers.
- In good physical condition and capable of lifting in excess of 60 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, able to climb steps and ladders, and capable of bending, stooping, and carrying products up steps, stairs, and down ramps and walkways.
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment, including sit-down forklifts, standing forklifts, and standing order selectors.
- Previous leadership experience of at least 1 year.
- Previous management experience of 4 or more people.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts of products.
- Process customer and vendor returns.
- Prepare for the annual physical inventory count.
- Assist in receiving and accurately check and count inbound products against packing slips and receiving documents.
- Ensure products are correctly stocked and shelved in proper bin locations and update product bin locations.
- Ensure the quantity in the computer system is accurate.
- Pull orders, make deliveries, and handle local vendor pick-ups.
- Investigate product quantity discrepancies to determine causes and make corrections.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with employee timekeeping.
- Coach and develop employees.
- Assist in down-stocking from overstock to ensure warehouse picking locations are filled.
- Ensure accurate recording of all stocked products by bin location and quantity in the computer system.
- Perform daily inspection of warehouse aisles and areas, providing written notification of unsafe conditions to the Inventory Control Manager.
- Submit all daily cycle count paperwork and communicate specific count or product issues to the Inventory Control Lead.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods onto or off delivery vehicles.
- Record, process, and restock all customer returns delivered by Chadwell Supply drivers.
