About The Position

This position is for an Embroidery Lead - Inventory Control within the Campus Outfitters division of the Retail team. The role involves leading day-to-day garment decoration production, mentoring and delegating tasks to Garment Decoration Clerks, and ensuring adherence to department standards for quality, accuracy, and safety. The Lead will operate and troubleshoot imprint equipment, perform garment decoration using embroidery and direct-to-film transfers, and manage the production space to maintain cleanliness, organization, and schedule adherence through weekly staffing plans. Additionally, the role supports inventory and quality control by enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize waste, investigating customer complaints, assisting with defective returns, and coordinating inventory pulls for production readiness.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree, or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 5 years’ production experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Directs the daily production
  • Mentors Garment Decoration Clerks in daily production tasks
  • Delegates daily production tasks to Garment Decoration Clerks
  • Upholds department standards for quality, accuracy, and safety as a role model for other employees
  • Ensures all imprint equipment is operating properly, takes appropriate actions to correct any issues
  • Dedicated to creating a high-quality product that consistently meets product specifications
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy production space.
  • Decorating garments using embroidery, and direct to film transfers
  • Creates weekly schedules
  • Develop, implement, and update standard operating procedures to improve quality and reduce waste.
  • Investigate customer complaints with the assistance of the sales team, to determine cause and focus on corrective action
  • Assist with returns of defective or damaged items.
  • Communicate write offs for inventory adjustments.
  • In collaboration with the merchandise assist pull and prepare inbound and in stock inventory for production
