About The Position

Smithfield is looking for an Inventory Control Lead to join their team. This role is responsible for performing inventory adjustments, batch code corrections, and cycle count corrections. The Inventory Control Lead will also release products from quality hold, respond to internal customer emails relating to inventory issues, and train employees in inventory processes. This position provides inventory assistance to operations employees, escalates issues as necessary, and ensures employees are working safely and following all work rules. The lead will also ensure inventory issues are addressed by the department and communicated to the Inventory Control Manager. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.
• One year of related experience is required.
• Experience with warehouse management systems is required.
• Candidates must have strong computer skills
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous lead or supervisory experience is highly desired.
• Experience in a role managing multiple priorities is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Performs inventory adjustments, batch code corrections, and cycle count corrections
• Releases products from quality hold, and responds to internal customer e-mails relating to inventory issues
• Train employees in inventory processes and provides inventory assistance to operations employees
• Responsible for escalating any issues that arise during the shift, if necessary
• Ensure that employees are working safely, and following all work rules
• Ensure that inventory issues are being addressed by the department and that these issues are communicated to the Inventory Control Manager
• Other duties as assigned
