Inventory Control Generalist 2PM Start

About The Position

Owens & Minor is hiring an Inventory Control Generalist to maintain accurate warehouse inventory and investigate receiving and shipping discrepancies. The role includes checking recalled or expired products, processing customer returns, researching proof of deliveries and manufacturer returns, and investigating units of measure. The Generalist works with purchasing, accounts payable, customer service, accounts receivable, sales, and warehouse teams. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 2 p.m. and continuing until work is finished. Pay is $19.80 per hour plus an 8% shift differential.

Responsibilities

Check product locations in the OMNI system.
Verify receiving receipts from accounts payable.
Perform cycle counts using RF units.
Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Investigate customer service errors, including picking errors and overshipments.
Perform counts for customer service and customer shipments.
Research and correct accounts payable discrepancies.
Maintain accurate inventory locations and move inventory as required.
Rotate products according to company policies and procedures.
Count or verify freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
Work on the pick and put-away discrepancies report.
Research unit-of-measure errors.
Check, receive, break down, and separate incoming customer returns, and return items to inventory.
Assemble, pack, and ship manufacturer or vendor returns, and initiate the required debit memo.
