About The Position

Surplus With A Purpose (SWAP) is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to join their team. This position supports the University’s environmental stewardship efforts by assisting with the reuse and responsible disposition of University and State surplus property. The Inventory Control Coordinator receives, evaluates, and processes surplus items for resale, donation, recycling, or disposal, and provides customer service to UW departments and public customers. Requirements

• Experience working in a large warehouse environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Customer service experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand/walk 6+ hours per day

• Experience working in retail setting

Responsibilities

• Shelves inventory and maintains organization
• Inspects and inventories received items and processes notifications to appropriate entities.
• Reconciles discrepancies
• Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders following established vendor procurement procedures
• Generates inventory reports to account for available stock and usage
