About The Position

RJW Logistics Group is hiring an Inventory Control Clerk who will be responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies, and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager on inventory-related functions concerning materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard. Requirements

Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
Must be able to communicate, read, write and speak English
Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and write emails.
Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to determine “root cause” of problem and determine corrective action.
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite for writing emails and interpreting and/or creating reports.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.
Must be able to stand; walk; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl.
Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.
Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
Must be able to work more than 8 continuous hours when required.
Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.
Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.
Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Cherry Picker REQUIRED
Certified/Qualified Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 per hour
Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
Forklift certification a plus.

Responsibilities

Performs physical counts of inventory items to maintain accurate inventory.
Counts and reconcile randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations daily.
Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
Ensures compliance with inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
Utilize computer terminals to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
