This role performs product inventory activities by confirming physical inventory quantity and location along with reporting variances. It is responsible for inventory control activities, including creating, assigning, and completing inventory control tasks, identifying, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from use of exception codes. The role also completes monthly cycle counts on all inventory and locations, both physical and virtual, and performs reconciliation as needed. It oversees all physical customer returns, investigates customer claims related to shortages, overages or damages reported, communicates findings and provides research summary and responses to claims as directed. The Inventory Control Clerk performs warehouse team lead responsibilities, to include coordinating, assigning work activities, reporting and follow-up. They assist with investigating product shortages and ensuring order fill rates are met, without warehouse-controlled shortages. The role creates STOs (Stock Transfer Orders) to move products between warehouse locations as needed. It provides scheduling support to backfill vacancies to minimize department operation disruption and performs all required SAP transactions, completing all required documentation. Additionally, the role collaborates, communicates and provides cross-functional support with other departments to minimize warehouse operations disruption. It completes daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor. The Inventory Control Clerk understands and follows Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs and regulatory requirements. They promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to the management team. The role attends and participates in all required training, shift meetings and committees, and adheres to the Saputo code of ethics and actively applies the Saputo values. Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
