Inventory Control Associate
About The Position
White Cap is hiring an Inventory Control Associate to support inventory accuracy and control during daily order processing. The role includes auditing inventory, researching and resolving discrepancies, completing and reviewing cycle counts, and following established internal control procedures. The associate also receives vendor products for quality checks, communicates potential quality issues to buyers, and maintains inventory and quality control documentation. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and following company safety policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Generally, 2–5 years of experience.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
- Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
Responsibilities
- Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
- Research and resolve issues, adjustments, and discrepancies, ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and follow up on previous inventory adjustments.
- Complete and review cycle counts.
- Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key, and review allocations.
- Receive products from vendors and check them for quality.
- Communicate potential quality issues to buyers.
- Maintain quality control and inventory control manuals.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
