About The Position

The Inventory Control Area Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing processes for inventory accuracy, reporting, and cycle counting. The role leads an on-site team of inventory control specialists within the home campus and may support a remote team at another campus. The manager collaborates regularly with operations and administrative leaders to build relationships that support ITS Logistics’ continued growth strategy.

Requirements

At least five years of experience in a distribution environment.
Strong understanding of WMS/ERP systems and inventory control or management practices.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Advanced problem-resolution skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Positive, team-first attitude and strong work ethic.
Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Prior third-party logistics (3PL) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee a team of 2–6 Inventory Control Specialists supporting one or multiple locations, and hire and train additional team members as the company grows.
Create and implement processes and procedures, including standard operating procedures, to improve the client experience related to inventory accuracy and reporting.
Oversee and improve existing daily, weekly, and monthly cycle-counting programs, and implement new programs as needed.
Partner with Operations and Administrative teams to proactively identify and remove barriers affecting inventory accuracy.
Develop a strong understanding of internal WMS and reporting systems and use them regularly to drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy.
