About The Position

The Inventory Control Area Manager is responsible for executing daily inventory control operations, including managing and organizing stock dispatch and intake and related administrative activities. The role oversees inventory associates and develops and implements inventory strategies and processes to protect inventory and maintain accuracy. The position has responsibility across all US locations for a single category, region, district, or distribution center, creates policy, and resolves problems. Travel is 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop inventory strategies and implement inventory control processes to safeguard against inventory shrinkage and maintain facility inventory accuracy.
• Establish the department structure by selecting and interviewing inventory control associates.
• Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
• Assign, direct, and monitor daily cycle-counting operations, including counting, verifying, correcting, and documenting product movement into and out of distribution center inventory.
• Prepare analyses of adjustment activity reports.
• Maintain controls to monitor inventory and shrink trends, identify opportunities, and implement changes to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrink.
• Work with stores and other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Provide the Operations team with accurate, timely, and relevant financial reporting, key performance indicators, and additional assistance as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
