About The Position

CEVA Logistics is seeking an Inventory Control & Quality Manager for its facility in Plainfield, Indiana. This role is responsible for leading all Inventory Control (IC) and Quality Control (QC) activities for the IDC facility, while also supporting additional Plainfield campus operations and other regional facilities as needed. The position serves as the primary operational owner for inventory accuracy, quality performance, audit readiness, shrink mitigation, compliance execution, and continuous improvement initiatives within a multi-client logistics environment. The role partners with Operations, Customer Success, IT, Finance, Safety (QHSE), Engineering, and customer stakeholders to ensure contractual KPI performance, process compliance, and operational stability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Quality certifications from a known organization (i.e., ASQ) with heavy people management background.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, quality management or logistics operations.
  • Experience within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of 3PL or 4PL industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action).
  • Strong knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of physical inventory execution.
  • Strong knowledge of operational KPI management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all inventory control activities to ensure inventory accuracy, transactional integrity, and compliance with customer and CEVA operational requirements.
  • Own execution and governance of cycle count programs, physical inventories (PI), empty bin checks, inventory reconciliation processes, and adjustment controls.
  • Drive inventory accuracy performance to contractual KPI expectations while minimizing shrink exposure and inventory-related customer credits.
  • Partner with Operations and IT teams to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies between WMS, ERP, customer systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Lead investigations and corrective actions related to inventory variances, lost product, serial discrepancies, hold code discrepancies, and inventory interface failures.
  • Support customer inventory reviews, audits, and operational business reviews.
  • Coordinate inventory lock, transaction cutoff, and operational readiness activities during physical inventory events.
  • Validate inventory transactions and adjustment activity to ensure SOX/SOC compliance standards are maintained.
  • Lead all warehouse quality control functions across inbound, outbound, VAS, kitting, reverse logistics, and customer-specific operational processes.
  • Own execution of warehouse quality audit programs including inbound inspections, outbound audits, layered process audits, and customer-specific inspections.
  • Monitor and report quality trends, defect trends, and audit performance metrics.
  • Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for customer complaints, operational defects, inventory discrepancies, and process failures.
  • Partner directly with customer quality teams to support corrective action development, containment activities, and preventive actions.
  • Support deployment and management of electronic quality systems including CEVA QC applications, Intelex modules, and customer quality portals.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer-facing IC and QC discussions.
  • Participate in customer operational reviews, audits, business reviews, and escalation management meetings.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and operational commentary related to inventory accuracy, quality trends, shrink exposure, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, IT, Finance, Transportation, and Safety teams to drive operational alignment.
  • Support and maintain compliance with SOC 1 controls, ISO standards, SCA certification requirements, customer contractual obligations, and CEVA operational standards.
  • Lead preparation and support activities for customer audits, internal audits, external audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Ensure audit evidence, process documentation, and operational records are maintained in accordance with compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies, Kaizen principles, and operational data analysis.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and operational reporting related to inventory accuracy, shrink trends, quality audit performance, RCCA completion, and process compliance.
  • Support automation and reporting initiatives utilizing Power BI, Power Automate, WMS reporting tools, and customer reporting platforms.
  • Participate in Focus Factory reviews, tier meetings, operational reviews, and customer reporting cadences.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Inventory Control and Quality Control team members.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards.
  • Promote a culture of operational discipline, continuous improvement, and proactive problem solving.
  • Partner with site leadership teams to drive operational consistency across the Plainfield campus and support additional facilities as required.
