About The Position

Flint Hydraulics, a division of Hydraquip, Inc. is looking for a candidate who wants to take the next step in their Technical career to join our 100% employee owned company. Flint Hydraulics is dedicated to the worldwide distribution of original and replacement hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, and hydraulic pump replacement parts for heavy mobile and industrial equipment. We are hiring an Inventory Clerk for our shipping and receiving division based in Memphis, TN. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for creating parcel shipping labels & BOLs, scheduling pickups, and customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Strong personal skills and desire for growth as an individual and technician.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for mechanical repairs of equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations skills.
  • Good physical skills on equipment and an aptitude for manual work.
  • Solid equipment and parts knowledge.
  • Warehousing training in a distribution, manufacturing, or dealership environment.
  • Knowledgeable on shipping methods and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school certificate or associate degree a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Order Picking, Packing, and Shipping.
  • Be knowledgeable about the parts warehouse location numbering system.
  • Be knowledgeable of parts and parts systems sold and inventoried by Hydraquip, Inc.
  • Be knowledgeable of all forms and methods for warehousing.
  • Be knowledgeable of the operation of all material handling equipment and tools.
  • Be knowledgeable of all order picking and packing methods and procedures.
  • Be knowledgeable of all shipping requirements locally and to all territory locations.
  • Stock Order Receiving.
  • Determine all rules to be followed for disposal of parts that are not required and also non-returnable to vendors.
  • Coordinate efforts with warehouse management to dispose properly of scrapped parts.
  • Maintain documentation concerning the scrapping of parts.
  • Participate in physical counts of parts and materials on an annual or as directed basis.
  • Correct identified duplicated locations.
  • Assist in determining causes of short- or over-item situations.
  • Operate within all parts policies and procedures of the company.
  • Contribute to high employee morale.
  • Carry out all duties and responsibilities in an ethical and conscientious manner.
  • Maintain excellent parts and service department and sales force relations.
  • Operate safely and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives, if applicable.
