About The Position

This role is in support of American Health Packaging, a Cencora business offering pharma packaging services in the US. The Inventory Clerk accurately counts bulk merchandise in primary warehouse locations, performs appropriate adjustments on inventory levels, and researches discrepancies. They also handle requests for return authorizations, pull product, package and ship returns and recalls, and provide customer support. This position assists with physical inventory, develops and implements new processes, and supports the Inventory Department with tasks such as placing purchase orders, writing narcotic blanks, monitoring service levels, and breaking down deals. The role requires compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and DEA regulations. The clerk must be able to work overtime and participate in physical inventory, and perform related duties as assigned. A key requirement is the ability to work in a refrigerated/cooler area for extended periods and obtain power equipment certification.

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Less than one (1) year of equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good mathematical skill
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Power equipment certification, or be willing to go through the training and obtain it.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately counts bulk merchandise in primary warehouse locations.

  • Provides internal and external customer support.
  • Assists with physical inventory.
  • Develops and implements new processes and procedures when necessary.
  • Supports the Inventory Department with a variety of tasks such as placing purchase orders, writes narcotic blanks, monitors service levels and breaks down deals.
