About The Position

The Inventory Clerk tracks and organizes automotive parts inventory in a warehouse. The role includes maintaining accurate stock records, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, filling customer and shop orders, and keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe. The position is full-time, entry-level, and located in Irondale, Alabama. It pays $15.00 per hour and is a day-shift role with no travel.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with inventory management software.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Dependability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience in warehousing, shipping, or logistics is preferred; the posting notes that this is often 6 months to 2 years.

Responsibilities

Count, classify, and organize merchandise to maintain stockroom accuracy.
Enter and update inventory data using inventory systems such as Excel, SAP, or Oracle.
Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments; prepare items for outgoing orders.
Identify and report inventory discrepancies, including shortages or damage, to management.
Replenish shelves and tag items.
Pull automotive parts to fill customer and shop orders.
Package and ship parts accurately and efficiently.
Receive and stock incoming inventory.
Perform inventory bin checks to maintain accurate stock levels.
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
