About The Position
Under the direction of Production, Shipping, and Scheduling, the Inventory Controller/Cycle Counter maintains accurate facility inventory by working with Receiving/Shipping and Purchasing, verifying that sufficient inventory is available for production using the inventory system, reconciling inventory, and reporting to management. This is an onsite, full-time, first-shift position paying $23.18. The role also includes taking apart completed job jackets and backing up the administrative assistant.
Responsibilities
- Execute material verification based on information provided by the Plant Scheduler and Production Supervision.
- Validate material movement transactions.
- Maintain continuous and accurate cycle counting of the facility.
- Coordinate cycle counting with forklift drivers on shift.
- Prepare for and participate in weekly physical inventory.
- Direct monthly product inventory, perform verifications, and keep spreadsheets up to date.
- Understand and utilize the FIFO methodology.
- Take apart job jackets after completion.
- Back up the administrative assistant.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.
