About The Position

The Capex & Inventory Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of inventory, Open to Buy and Capex across all stores, warehouses, and e-commerce channels. The role supports financial and operational decision‑making through detailed analysis of inventory performance, gross margin, OTB execution, and capital investments. Acting as a key business partner to Finance, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Retail, the Capex & Inventory Analyst provides financial transparency, variance analysis, and decision‑support insights to optimize working capital, capital allocation, and overall profitability.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, auditing, or working capital management, ideally in luxury or premium retail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, stock flows, and inventory procedures.
  • Strong knowledge in leasing accounting. IFRS16 a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP, POS, and inventory management systems (S4HANA and SAP Sales and Distribution).
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with data analysis.
  • Experience in multi-store, multi-channel and multi-brands luxury environments.
  • Knowledge of audit standards and inventory control frameworks.
  • Experience working with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with store teams.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-paced luxury environment.
  • High reliability, integrity, and commitment to operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory reconciliation and variance analysis, including physical stock counts.
  • Support inventory valuation and the preparation of provisions (shrinkage, slow‑moving, and damaged stock).
  • Develop, implement, and enforce inventory control procedures and standards across all retail locations, including cycle count policies.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly inventory KPIs (accuracy, ageing, DOI, stock coverage, sell‑through) and related management dashboards.
  • Analyze inventory trends and gross margin performance across brands, channels, and markets to identify risks and optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor and manage Open‑to‑Buy budgets, tracking actuals vs. forecast and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure disciplined OTB execution to optimize stock levels, support sell‑through, and prevent overstock or underbuy situations. Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide purchasing and replenishment decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze CAPEX spending related to store openings, refurbishments, fixtures, and IT assets.
  • Track CAPEX budgets vs. actuals and support investment reporting and post‑implementation reviews.
  • Support investment store openings projects supporting senior management for HQ dashboards.
  • Support inventory governance, internal controls, and compliance with corporate policies and local requirements.
  • Support Finance during monthly closing activities related to inventory balances, provisions, and depreciation and amortization.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to ensure data accuracy and operational alignment.
