About The Position

As an Inventory Associate at CarMax, you help provide customers with a seamless experience by tracking, positioning, and preparing vehicles to meet standards of quality and reliability. The role offers hands-on experience in the auto industry and the opportunity to learn CarMax’s business in a fast-paced environment. Associates work collaboratively, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and follow Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. The position requires working outdoors in varying weather and may require evening and weekend availability.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Accurately log and track vehicle deliveries and inventory to maintain operational efficiency.
• Move and position vehicles across the lot to ensure easy customer access and viewing.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Clean, vacuum, and detail vehicles to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the team to learn and apply best practices for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Benefits

• Paid sick time: up to 48 hours per year, accrued each pay period, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Paid vacation: 80 to 200 hours per year after a 90-day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Paid scheduled holidays: 8 hours of pay for each of six scheduled holidays per year, plus one floating holiday, for eligible full-time hourly or commission/incentive-eligible associates.
• Holiday Premium Pay when eligible associates work on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away as needed for sick time, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holidays, subject to manager approval.
