About The Position

Justrite Manufacturing, a leader in storage, handling, and security products, is seeking an Inventory Assistant for their Anderson, SC location. This role is vital for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity through regular cycle counts, discrepancy identification and investigation, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Responsibilities include measuring and weighing products during cycle counts, maintaining records, organizing products, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistencies or damages. The Inventory Assistant may also contribute to improving inventory procedures, assisting staff, and maintaining work area cleanliness.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of work experience in an inventory related field with similar responsibilities
  • Ability to be on your feet throughout most of the day and perform actions such as bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, and climbing
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with ERP system or inventory management software
  • Very strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis
  • Forklift licensed, or the ability to obtain a license
  • Always follow safe work practices

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certified in CPIM (Certified Planning Inventory Management) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity
  • Perform cycle counts based on ABC analysis that includes measuring and weighing products
  • Identify and investigate the root cause of inventory count variances as well as systemic failures
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement corrective/preventative action to resolve and prevent inventory issues
  • Accurately enter the verified inventory variances in the inventory management system.
  • Create and maintain a monthly cycle count accuracy report
  • Maintain product identification labels for designated storage locations
  • Properly document damaged products found internally or delivered by carrier
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing the bi-annual or annual physical inventory counts for the site
  • Crosstrain to support shipping and receiving functions during planned and unplanned absences
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by manager
