About The Position
The Inventory Analyst assists merchandise and store planners in managing inventory to minimize backorders, maximize inventory turns and profitability, and achieve established customer service levels for eCommerce and Retail. The role supports inventory tracking and issue resolution, promotional planning and analysis, purchase order maintenance, inventory assessment, and vendor returns. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, or four years of relevant work experience.
- One year of relevant work experience in addition to the degree or years of previous experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
Responsibilities
- Track late purchase order deliveries, identify issues, and communicate opportunities to the team.
- Resolve shortages, overages, and problem shipment issues.
- Review products in transit to stores and identify issues such as lost product or missed receipts.
- Perform promotional pre-setup inventory checks before promotional in-home dates for web and catalog promotions, conduct periodic checks throughout promotions, and complete post-promotional analysis.
- Review open backorders and expedite inventory where necessary.
- Maintain planned arrival dates on purchase orders and expedite past-due orders.
- Apply purchase order price variance corrections.
- Validate reserve inventory levels and assess aged inventory.
- Organize, coordinate, and execute vendor returns.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
