About The Position

The Inventory Analyst assists merchandise planners and store planners in managing inventory to minimize backorders, maximize inventory turns and profitability, and achieve established customer service levels for eCommerce and Retail. The role includes monitoring purchase orders and shipments, resolving inventory issues, supporting promotional inventory readiness, expediting orders, maintaining purchase order data, assessing reserve and aged inventory, and coordinating vendor returns. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, or four years of relevant work experience.
• One year of relevant work experience in addition to the degree or years of previous experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Track late purchase order deliveries, identify issues, and communicate opportunities to the team.
• Resolve shortages, overages, and problem shipment issues.
• Review in-transit products destined for stores and identify issues such as lost product and missed receipts.
• Perform promotional pre-setup checks, including reviewing inventory positions before promotional in-home dates for web and catalog promotions; conduct periodic checks during promotions and post-promotional analysis.
• Review open backorders and expedite inventory where necessary.
• Maintain planned arrival dates on all purchase orders and expedite past-due orders.
• Apply purchase order price variance corrections.
• Validate reserve inventory levels and assess aged inventory.
• Organize, coordinate, and execute vendor returns.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
