About The Position

The Inventory Account Management Manager is the primary liaison between supply partners and Viant DSP client teams. You will serve as a crucial bridge between Viant and key media exchanges, ensuring that Viant teams have a full understanding of offerings, capabilities, and use cases. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external media owners to curate inventory on behalf of customers/traders/buyers while maintaining efficient, seamless relationships with inventory partners and internal account teams. Our Inventory Account Management Managers are enthusiastic, proactive, self-starters charged with establishing, supporting, and overseeing media exchange partner relationships. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ideal candidate works well with cross- functional team members in order to find solutions for and curate valuable inventory for our clients.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years digital media/programmatic/ad tech or client service experience
  • Familiarity with OpenRTB standard and signals
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, while being able to quickly gain product efficiency across a broad set of offerings
  • A consultative, strategic thinker with great energy and enthusiasm for new technologies
  • Adaptable and comfortable managing change, with the ability to quickly pivot plans, priorities, and responsibilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Interest or familiarity with Google Big Query or beginner SQL

Responsibilities

  • Easily accessible as the primary day-to-day point of contact for Exchange partners, advocating for Viant’s strategic goals and operational standards.
  • Support Publisher Business Development teams by providing merchandising guidance and synthesizing themes of client requests for publisher partners to create solutions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with mid/long-tail publisher partners, ensuring Viant teams understand the offerings and how to access.
  • Manage the programmatic inventory request lifecycle, including the setup, health monitoring, and troubleshooting of Viant Deals, Client Deals, and Open Market.
  • Evaluate publisher offerings and inventory quality for effectiveness, ensuring strict adherence to the Viant Inventory Quality Policy and oRTB signal compliance (PPID, IRIS).
  • Facilitate sales enablement by gathering offering requirements and processing inventory briefs submitted through the IAM Sales Feasibility Form.
  • Act as a consultative expert on inventory strategies, serving as the primary lead for all channels, including CTV, Display, Audio, OLV, and DOOH.
  • Provide DSP configuration requirements and technical recommendations to internal teams to improve campaign pacing and performance.
  • Direct day-to-day inventory integrations and serve as the point person for supply billing inquiries and financial reconciliations.
  • Report consistent feedback to inventory partners regarding quality, transparency standards, and evolving client needs.
  • Manage supply infrastructure allocation, specifically overseeing QPS (Queries Per Second) management and partner capacity requests.
  • Serve as the "first call" and primary liaison between inventory partners and client teams to troubleshoot live delivery issues, reporting discrepancies, and performance roadblocks.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can partner with Product and Engineering teams to share customer experience insights, communicate partner feedback, and help inform product improvements.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging AI applications, with an ability to leverage them to improve workflow efficiency, analysis, problem-solving, and client support.
  • Produce supply health reporting and lead Exchange Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to ensure partner alignment and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Oversee global seller and site block lists to maintain high inventory standards.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment while quickly achieving product efficiency across a wide range of offerings.
