About The Position

The Intramural Student Employee will help run a smooth intramural program by providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. This role requires the implementation of Intramural Sports policies and playing rules to maintain control, fairness, and safety. The student employee should maintain a positive attitude and strive to improve officiating skills.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
• Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
• Well organized, punctual, and reliable
• The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University
• lifting up to 15 lbs.
• other physical requirements

Responsibilities

• Officiate recreation events
• Assists with day-to-day operations of the Intramural program which includes, but is not limited to: scorekeeper, referee, timer, ball chaser, and line judge
• Working knowledge of the rules to all major sports
• Enforce all University, facility/program policies, rules, and regulations
• Maintain all equipment and ensure proper use
• Assist with pre and post-game logistics
• Other duties as assigned
