Key responsibilities include program administration, policy development, scheduling, staff training, assessment, risk management, special events, budget oversight, marketing, and equipment management. The role involves scheduling sports programs across multiple facilities, administering sports annually, and supporting summer camps and other recreation events. The coordinator will also manage marketing and promotion, coordinate special events and fundraisers, and serve as a liaison and mentor to Sport Clubs. Revision of rules, manuals, and policies, as well as data compilation on participation and injuries, are also part of the role. Collaboration with campus partners and other entities is essential. The position requires serving as a ranking staff member on duty, providing emergency care, customer service, conflict resolution, and decision-making regarding program and facility usage. Input on departmental policy and strategic planning, as well as on-call support, is expected. A significant part of the role involves recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, and developing student employees. The coordinator will also serve as the primary Risk Manager for intramural sports and assist with budget preparation and monitoring. Facility management and other related duties are also required.
