About The Position

This position will perform tasks related to planning, organizing, and supervising the delivery of residence hall and all extracurricular campus activities including coordination of day, evening, and weekend campus events, developing activities for residents, and ensuring the safety and security of the residence hall. Assist Student Affairs with admissions, advising, enrollment, and attend college recruiting events/career fairs/programs. This is a full-time, 12-month, FLSA exempt position covered by the Public School Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS). This position includes a small efficiency apartment and a meal plan. A spouse or significant other will be allowed to reside in the room. They must pass a background check and complete the required online FERPA, Title IX, and other training.

  • Must be able to work with the residence life and campus activities supplies and equipment
  • Must live in the residence hall and maintain day, evening and weekend duties as scheduled
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required

Nice To Haves

  • First Aid, AED, and CPR Certification/training will be provided and required

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and implement residence hall activities and programming
  • Monitor the residence hall to ensure student safety
  • Monitor building access, alarms, residents, visitors and assure compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Assess student needs and concerns by surveying and seeking input from students
  • Assist with room check in/out processes and room checks of all residence halls during the semester
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents in the residence hall and aid in communication to appropriate College staff, local authorities, and emergency contacts
  • Maintain weekend, evening, overnight, and holiday duties shared with other staff
  • Work with student leaders, staff, and faculty to plan, organize, promote, supervise, and evaluate student activities for all students
  • Promote involvement, leadership development, student participation, and program development within the student body
  • Supervise student and volunteers working with student activities and residence halls
  • Assist Student Affairs Team with recruiting, social media, admissions, advising, enrollment, and attend college recruiting events/career fairs/programs
  • Respond to requests for college information, give tours, and provide specific program information to interested students
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
