About The Position

The EP/Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Technologist performs various roles involved in interventional imaging procedures. These roles are performed in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This role is located at Monroe Carell and works with the pediatric and adult congenital cardiac population. Allied health is among the fastest growing occupations in healthcare today. LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
Relevant Work Experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate radiology services in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job.
Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based.
Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.

Responsibilities

Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
Provides appropriate Interventional screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
Performs various roles involved in interventional imaging procedures.
Ensures the best possible patient care services are delivered.
